Thirty Years of New York Real Estate Law
Michael built his practice from the ground up, starting as an associate at Gold & Gold, PC, then becoming a partner at Gold Scollar Moshan, PLLC in 2006, before launching Michael Moshan, Attorney at Law, PLLC in 2014. He has represented first-time buyers in Brooklyn and foreign nationals closing in Manhattan luxury buildings. He has also served as corporate counsel for a major New York City brokerage and acted as counsel for co-op and condo boards.
His experience runs wider than courtrooms and closing tables. He led a title insurance venture, participated in development projects, and manages his own real estate investments. That 360-degree view shapes how he reads a contract, spots a red flag, and keeps a deal on track. As he puts it, the attorney you choose can mean the difference between a deal that closes and one that falls apart.
Hands-On Counsel, Direct Communication, Real Results
Michael runs a true solo practice. That means clients speak directly with him, not an assistant or a junior associate. He stays in contact with bankers, brokers, managing agents, title experts, and opposing counsel from contract to closing. When a title defect nearly killed one of his deals, he brought in a specialist, coordinated with prior owners, and restructured the transaction until it closed. That kind of problem-solving is not delegated.
Away from the law, Michael co-wrote and co-produced Rock the SAT, a McGraw-Hill study guide published in 2007. He founded two competitive tennis ladders in New York and will represent the U.S. men's 55-plus team at the Maccabi Games in Israel in July 2025. He lives in Irvington with his wife Shana and their sons Nate and Mack.
